PukedAndPlayed Lexicon

#PukedAndPlayed was the fan-created hashtag that emerged after Charlie Rivera vomited offstage during the 2032 Blue Valley Jazz Festival and returned to finish the set.

Origin

Heat, travel, and migraine converged during Charlie’s Blue Valley set. He vomited offstage, removed his shoes, returned beneath a cold towel, and completed the performance from a seated position with a sick bag beside him. The performance generated #PukedAndPlayed and widened public discussion of chronic illness in live performance.

Charlie had experienced a separate episode of vomiting during CRATB’s 2029 Grammy night. His acceptance speech and post-performance interview addressed that incident publicly, but the hashtag itself began with Blue Valley in 2032.

Usage and Context

The tag circulated among Riveristas, the broader CRATBrat fandom, and disability and chronic-illness communities. Its blunt wording kept the bodily reality visible rather than turning the performance into a story of cure or concealment.
